Suspect arrested for murder of 18-year-old man

A suspect has been arrested in connection with a November 4, 2016 homicide.

Officers arrived to the 2000 block of Boyd Street after reports of a shooting around 12:50 p.m.

After observing the scene, they found an 18-year-old man, Frederick Tindall, suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso.

The victim was transported to Shock trauma where he was pronounced dead.

On November 5, 2016 detectives arrested 21-year-old Sterlyn Butcher, and charged him with first and second degree murder amongst other felony charges.

Butcher is currently being held in Central Booking without bail.
