Double shooting reported in W Baltimore, traffic detoured

Two people sustained non-life threatening injuries in a double shooting on Baker Street at Moreland Avenue in west Baltimore Friday.

At approximately 5:35 a.m., police responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located the victims, a 22-year-old male and a 23-year-old female, both suffering from gunshot wounds to the legs.

Preliminary investigations revealed the victims were in the 1600 block of Moreland Avenue when they were involved in an altercation with an unidentified suspect.

Police said the suspect produced a gun and shot both victims in the legs before fleeing.

The victims drove themselves to the area hospital for treatment
