Six people were arrested following a protest at the Wells Fargo bank on St. Paul Street, Baltimore Police said.
Fifty protesters gathered to speak out against the Dakota Access pipeline, police said. Opponents, including the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, say the pipeline being built to carry oil from western North Dakota to Illinois is harmful to drinking water on reservation and cultural sites.
Once inside the bank, some of the protesters chained themselves together and refused to leave, police said.
After repeated warnings from police, six people were arrested around 2:15 p.m.
