A Glen Burnie man faces first-degree murder charges in the death of his mother, Anne Arundel County Police said.
Police said Roy Samuel Robinson, 57, called an out-of-state relative and said he killed his mother, Elizabeth Ligon Robinson, 80.
Police responded to the 200 block of Sandsbury Avenue Saturday, where they found Elizabeth Robinson dead of an apparent sharp force trauma to her upper body. Roy Robinson, who also told police he had killed his mother, had minor wounds to his upper body that appeared to be self-inflicted.
He was transported to an area hospital, where he remains.
