At 2:45 am Annapolis Police were called to the 300 block of Atwater Drive for reports of a stabbing.
Inside the house, police found Martin Jolalpa-Vazquez, 44, bleeding profusely.
Jolalpa-Vazquez was rushed to the nearest hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A suspect was quickly found and identified as 22 year-old Leobardo Jolalpa-Ramirez, the victims son.
Jolalpa-Ramirez is charged with first and second degree murder, manslaughter, first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure.
Jolalpa-Ramirez is currently being held at the Jennifer Road Detention center without bond.
