Research Professor at UMBC, Chief Curator has died due to complications related to COVID-19

BALTIMORE — Maurice Berger, research professor at UMBC and chief curator of our Center for Art, Design, and Visual Culture, has passed away.

Berger died Monday evening at the age of 63 due to complications related to COVID-19.

While serving as Research Professor and Chief Curator at the Center for Art, Design and Visual Culture, University of Maryland, Baltimore County, Berger curated Revolution of the Eye: Modern Art and the Birth of American Television at the Jewish Museum in 2015.
