MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Despite fake posts circulating on social media suggesting that Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) will be closed due to the coronavirus, schools will be open on Monday and operating on a normal schedule.
MCPS says the posts circulating on social media that schools will be closed are false.
According to MCPS, any information about school closures or updates relating to the coronavirus will come directly from County health officials and the district and will be posted on the official MCPS website.
MCPS says the health and safety of their schools and students remains their top priority.
