BALTIMORE — The Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration will be reopening the Eastern Bus Division on Friday.

This comes after notification from state and local health officials that MDOT MTA, in accordance with COVID-19 CDC guidelines, could resume operations.

On March 24, MDOT MTA received notification from a bus operator out of the Eastern division, that the operator had tested positive for COVID-19. They had last reported to work on March 19 and MDOT MTA immediately notified the city health department.

An unvestigation was conducted and it was found that the operator was not at work after their illness onset and that the Eastern division could resume operations.

The previously impacted routes on the CityLink Navy, Orange, Blue, Pink, Lime and Gold, LocalLink 21, 22, 28,36, 56, 59, 62, 63, and 65, and Express BusLink 105, 120, and 160 will resume regularly scheduled service.
