Glyphosate is the number one herbicide used in the US, and is used as a drying agent fro some crops. It's sprayed widely near schools and playgrounds, on farms and gardens, and sometimes used directly on crops.
Glyphosate is designed to kill what it touches, and while it may work on weeds, it's also killing healthy microbes in the soil. Many food test positive for glyphosate, which is classified as "probably carcinogenic" by the WHO.
MegaFood has put together a petition to stop the use of glyphosate, and will present it at a rally in Washington DC on May 23.
