CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. — A two-alarm fire has severely damaged more than a dozen apartments in Chesapeake Beach, leaving approximately 25 residents displaced.
Authorities say the fire caused an estimated $1.5 million in damage and an estimated $250,000 in content damage.
Flames broke out around 6:30 Monday morning in the 3900 block of Gordon Stinnett Avenue.

Luckily, all residents of the complex are accounted for.
It's believed the fire originated on a first-level balcony in the courtyard area.
So far there is no evidence of foul play.
High winds also contributed to the fire rapidly spreading leading to even more damage.
