Former State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby officially filed an appeal of her conviction today.
Last month, she was sentenced to 12 months of home confinement and two additional years of supervised release.
She had previously been convicted of perjury and mortgage fraud.
Mosby is also appealing the order that she forfeit one of her Florida homes.
The case now goes to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
