ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. — A ground stop has been issued at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The ground stop is in place as severe weather is expected to hit the region.
Departures from BWI will be halted until 6:30 p.m.
However, the possibility of the ground stop being extended sits at a medium chance of 30-60%.
