It's going to be a soggy evening...

Showers linger through Saturday

Showers will continue to filter into the area tonight. Temperatures will rise into the upper 40s by tomorrow morning. A few showers will linger through early Saturday afternoon, but I expect things to dry out by early evening. High pressure builds into the area overnight, making Sunday the weekend winner-- with mostly sunny skies prevailing, and temperatures running a few degrees above average.

Another frontal system will lift through our area overnight Sunday-- into Monday morning. Showers will likely transition to a wintry mix during the early morning hours on Monday--- just in time for the morning commute. Greatest potential for frozen precipitation looks to be our northwest counties, but that is going to depend on where cold temperatures seep in. Sleet and snow should transition to liquid rain by late morning, and linger through Tuesday. Mostly sunny skies will round out the work week-- but temperatures will remain unseasonably cool thorugh the start of the weekend.
