A tornado that swept through parts of Dundalk last Saturday left more than a dozen families at an apartment complex without their homes and belongings.

This weekend, the community is helping those people replace many of their items.

Everyone was welcome to drop-off items at the Holabird East Apartments this weekend.

Property Manager Amanda Littles arranged for a pop-up flea market so affected tenants could grab essentials they were in need of.

Littles said she received several calls from neighbors wanting to help the victims;

“I live here also so I know what they're going through on both ends and just the outreach from the community just touched everybody, we had to give back to them.”

Clothing, food, and furniture were among some of the items victims were requesting.

So many donations were made, plans are already underway for another one-stop-shop next weekend.
