COLUMBIA, Md. — The 27th annual Symphony of Lights is underway and bringing holiday cheer at Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia.

This year's drive thru is packed with special effects, music and more than 330,000 lights. New additions to the display include snow effects and an 80 foot high digital Christmas tree with a train going around it.

The event is held rain or shine weekdays from 6-10P.M. and on weekends from 5-10P.M. If you would like to attend, it costs $20 per car and you will need to enter at the intersection of Broken Land Parkway and Hickory Ridge Rd. A portion of the proceeds will be given to Howard County General Hospital. There will be a special distanced walk through of the light show with fireworks on New Year's Eve.
