American Girl Dolls have inspired children around the world for 30 years. Now the company is shaking things up by adding a boy to their list of characters for the first time.

Their newest doll, named Logan Everett, play drums for American Girl's other new character, Tenney Grant.

Tenney is a girl trying to make it big in Nashville. The website describes her as a "breakout songwriter finding the heart to be herself."

American Girl says a boy character has been a top request from fans for decades.

The dolls will be up for sale starting Thursday, for $115 each.
