ROSEDALE, Md. — An early morning crash continues to close Interstate 95 in Rosedale.

It happened just before 5:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes approaching I-895.

A truck caught fire and was engulfed in flames, according to MDTA. The driver managed to escape and was taken to the hospital as a precaution, authorities said.

The vehicle was carrying packages, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department.

A heavy duty tow truck is on the scene, but it is unclear when southbound lanes will reopen. MDTA says removal could take an extended period of time, due to the damage of the truck, as well as diesel fuel and debris in the roadway.
