Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh is warning Marylanders of charity scams.

He says it's common for scammers to set up fake donation pages and bogus charities after disasters, like last month's deadly flash flooding in Ellicott City.

To avoid those charity scams, make sure you know who you're giving money to.

When in doubt, only donate to well-established charitable organizations like the American Red Cross, which is helping the victims of that devastating flooding.
