RANDALLSTOWN, Md. — A former Baltimore County teacher is returning to Maryland this weekend to sign copies of his new book, "The Good Book: A Kid's Guide to Becoming a Successful Student Leader".

Da'Nall Wilmer taught at Randallstown Elementary School before moving to Atlanta. When he was at Randallstown, he started a club called Boys in the Good.

The club focuses on four aims: giving, optimism, originality and determination. The boys in the club are required to wear dress shirts and ties once a week.

Wilmer wanted to share the success of Boys in the Good with others so he wrote the book, which features four of his former students at Randallstown Elementary.

"I feel as though there's a big need for mentoring, especially in Baltimore, so I really wanted to encourage kids to become those leaders. Because it's never too young for kids to learn how to be leaders," he said.

Wilmer is holding a book signing in Northwest Baltimore on Saturday at the New Psalmist Baptist Church at 6020 Marian Drive from 12-2 p.m. You can also buy the book on Amazon.
