Amazon donates 1,400+ meals to United Way of Central Md

BALTIMORE — Amazon donated more than 1,400 meals and toiletries to United Way of Central Maryland.

The online retailer has been partnering with united way for a few years.

The food will be distributed to people in need at the City of Refuge, in South Baltimore’s Brooklyn-Curtis Bay area.

"Half of that is MRE's which are meal ready eats, prepackaged bagged meals that you can just add water and eat. There are six different varieties so those can go right into the hands of homeless or anyone who needs those meals right now

In addition to these meals, Amazon recently donated $10,000 to United Way of Central Maryland for distance learning technology.
