Winter Is Holding On For Dear Life.....

and last updated

More active weather is on the way as we head into the weekend!

Another wintry mix is poised to move in Friday. Snow, sleet and rain will arrive in Central Maryland by the early afternoon. Accumulation of sleet and snow will be light if any at all because the system is moving in in the afternoon instead of at night. The higher March sun angle will melt the snow when it comes in contact with the surface. Therefore, most accumulation of up to an 1" will be on grassy surfaces. 1-3" of snow is expected in Western MD. The system will depart late Friday night.

Most of Saturday will be dry with highs pushing 50 degrees. Rain will move in late Saturday night into Sunday morning. Because the rain exits the area between noon and 1p.m., Sunday will not be a wash out and highs will be mild in the upper 50s to low 60s.

For all the warm weather lovers Spring is 13 days away! For all the cold weather lovers there is more cold weather on the way later this month!
