The El-Nino influence this February was apparent since Baltimore finished the month with more rain than snow. Our total rainfall for the month was 5.7", which is nearly double our average of 2.9". The bulk of this rain fell on February 24th, when 2.61" of rain was reported at BWI - setting an all time record for the 24th.
Snowfall was another story. We finished the month with 2.6" of snow which is well below our avg of 8". We had our opportunities for heavy snowfall, but timing was never ideal for snow.
The result is the wettest February in 13 years (2003 had 6.7" of snow) and the warmest February in four years at 36.8°. (2012 finished at 41.6°)
