A look at Wednesday's severe weather

Lots of wind damage across Maryland

Severe winds moved through the Baltimore area today producing lots of damage at the surface in a short amount of time. Most of the damage occurred from falling trees, below is a list of some of the areas affected in Maryland

Carroll County:

Westminster – Multiple reports of trees down.

Sykesville - Multiple reports of trees and power lines down.

Howard County:

Glenelg - Two trees reported down in Glenelg vicinity.

Ellicott City - Several reports of trees down in the area.

Ilchester - Three reports of trees downed between Ellicott City and Columbia

Clarksville - Several large branches greater than three inches diameter downed at hobbits

Glen Golf course.

Simpsonville - Two trees downed at Route 32 West and Shaker Road.

Hanover - Four reports of trees downed between Elkridge and Hanover .

Harford County:

Northern Harford County (North of Jarrettsville) - Tree reported downed on Clermont Mill Rd.

Forest Hill - Tree downed on Pyle Road.

Darlington - Tree downed on Castleton Road.

Bel-Air - Several reports of trees and branches downed in the area.

Churchville - Two reports of trees down.

Baltimore County:

Cockeysville - a tree fell into a house.

Glencoe - Tree downed across Torrey C Brown Trail.

Essex - Tree fell into a house.

Baltimore City:

Park Heights – Winds downed a tree on a truck on the campus of Johns Hopkins University.

Canton - Winds from convective showers downed a tree on Fleet Street.
