A pretty strong low pressure system will be moving just north of the Mid-Atlantic this Sunday bringing a cold front through Maryland. Given the warm/moist air mass we have ahead of the front, conditions will be favorable for severe weather Sunday afternoon & evening.
Due to the stormy threat we are under an Enhanced Risk of severe weather for Sunday.
Our highest storm threats at this point are damaging winds & flooding although tornadoes can't be ruled out at this this point either. Be sure to stay weather aware this weekend, but especially Sunday afternoon.
