We've been eagerly waiting for Spring to get here and now that it's right around the corner, Winter has something to say about it. This weekend, Maryland will have the chance for snow, on the heels of a low pressure system passing to our south.
The main factor is the cooler air expected to be in place this weekend, where high temps could to be 10° - 15° below normal. This means our overnight lows will be near the freezing mark, creating an opportunity for wintry precipitation to fall.
There's good news and bad news about this. The good news is - any snow that falls in March will have a hard time sticking around due too milder temps. The bad news is - this "cold & warm" pattern may last into the end of March. So buckle up for temperature swings, wintry mixes and allergy nightmares, because this will be a classic Spring transition.
