Another storm is brewing for the Mid Atlantic and another round of "forecast patience" will be needed. This storm is a long way from Maryland and isn't expected to impact Maryland's weather until Tuesday.

Location this Weekend

Location By Tuesday Morning

What we know:

It doesn't appear that significant cold air will be in place for Central Maryland by mid week. This scenario will support another warm storm with a mix of rain & snow. Snow accumulation on roads and sidewalks will be less of an issue as well, with temps hovering in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Current Impact on Maryland

Best Chance for Heavy Snow: More likely for western Maryland - From Frederick to Deep Creek*
Rain/Snow Line: Expected to be west of the I-95 Corridor. The event could start off as snow, then change to rain, and possibly back to snow all within 12 hours.
**How much snow vs. rain depends on the track of the storm, which is uncertain.**
Will Wind be a Factor: The wind field doesn't look overly impressive but once again this could change in the coming days.

Weather Balloons will get a better handle on this system by Sunday night, creating a better mid-week forecast.
