Seasonal temperatures in Baltimore today although much of the northeast is 1 to 10 degrees cooler than normal. The heat bubble is found in the West, and that warmth is traveling to us! Only 2 more days with temps in the low 70s as we watch our winds shift from NW to SW around a migrating area of high pressure.
By Wednesday the high pressure will be in the Atlantic driving in more moisture and heat. (Wind around high pressure moves clockwise, so our winds will be out of the south.) Temps quickly rise to the low 90s by the middle of the week as humidity rises. That means it will feel closer to the mid 90s. We stay 10-15 degrees warmer than normal for the end of the work week. If you are dreaming about jumping in a pool, keep this in mind. Saturday will be great to cool off in the water with temps in the upper 80s and the muggy air lingering. Sunday may be better for sun bathers as temps drop to the low 80s and the drier air pushes in.
