ANNAPOLIS — Beginning Saturday, indoor and outdoor venues may resume normal operations in Maryland.

All remaining capacity restrictions will be lifted on outdoor entertainment, art, and sports venues as well as all indoor entertainment venues and conventions.

Restaurants and bars can also lift capacity restrictions on both indoor and outdoor dining.

Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford and Howard Counties along with Baltimore City all said they were prepared to go along with the state.

Prince George's County will follow May 17 at 5:01 pm.

Hogan said that the statewide indoor mask requirement remains, but will be lifted as soon as 70 percent of Maryland adults receive at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

For Maryland residents 18 and older, that number now sits at 65.4 percent.

The cruise terminal in Baltimore City will reopen Saturday as well. The CDC is working directly with ports and cruise industry representatives to prepare for their safe return to business.

And to further accelerate the state’s economic recovery, Hogan has directed the Maryland Department of Labor to work with the federal administration to begin the process of reinstating work search requirements.

COVID-19 vaccine eligibility for Marylanders age 12-15 will open on Thursday.

Anne Arundel, Baltimore, and Howard Counties along with Baltimore Cityhave already begun accepting vaccination appointments for 12 to 15 year old's.

The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) strongly supports use of the Pfizer vaccine in adolescents 12 to 15 years of age, and encourages providers to make appointments available to this population immediately.

Hogan stated 11 of the state’s mass vaccination sites and hundreds of pharmacy locations will be ready to administer the Pfizer vaccine to adolescents right away.
