BALTIMORE — Two highway ramps in the Baltimore area will effect travels through the next week.

The ramp from Keith Avenue to I-95 in Baltimore will be temporarily closed overnight for one week, the Maryland Department of Transportation Announced Tuesday.

The ramp closure will last from 10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9 until 5 a.m. Jan. 16, weather permitting.

Motorists heading west will be detoured to Keith Avenue, to Clinton Street, to Boston Street, to Interstate Avenue, to I-95. Drivers heading east will be sent to New Vail Street, to Newkirk Street, to Boston Street, to Interstate Avenue, to I-95.

Beginning Jan. 11, the I-695 outer loop (westbound) ramp to MD 542/Loch Raven Boulevard and Cromwell Bridge Road will be closed. The closure will last from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14. The closure is due to work on an underground pipe crossing.

Drivers will be sent to the Providence Road exit, where they can then use southbound Providence Road to the inner loop of I-695 and use the Cromwell Bridge Road exit from there. Motorists may also consider using the I-695/MD 41 (Perring Parkway) interchange to Joppa Road to Loch Raven Boulevard, MDOT said.

If inclement weather affects the ability of road crews to work, the closure and construction will be rescheduled on the next possible weekend.
