The eastbound lanes on I-70 in Howard County were closed to traffic Friday afternoon because of an accident involving a truck on fire and a downed tree, Howard County fire officials said.
Two lanes had reopened to traffic as of 3:59 p.m. Shortly before 4 p.m. the fire was out, but the tree needed to be removed from the road, according to Howard County Fire and EMS.
