Travelers may experience delays during off-peak hours as they travel on the Baltimore Beltway.

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration is beginning a resurfacing project on I-695 between Greenspring Avenue and MD 25/Falls Road in Pikesyville/Lutherville. Travelers can expect to find single and double lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

The construction includes pavement patching, the removal of the top layer of asphalt, restriping 1.5 miles of highway, repairing concrete median barrier, upgrading highway lighting systems, upgrading guardrails, and replacing road signs. The cost of the project is roughly $3.5 million.
