Wizards prank Markieff Morris with Suns gear

The Phoenix Suns and forward Markieff Morris didn’t exactly separate on good terms when he was traded earlier this season. That’s what makes this prank by his new team the Washington Wizards so great.

Friday night when the Wizards came to town to play the Suns, Morris showed up to find his locker decorated in Suns gear, including his old jersey according to The Source.

The list of incidents between the Suns and Morris before he was traded include him shoving a teammate and yelling at him during a game, throwing a towel “at or near” a coach in anger, and publicly demanding a trade after his brother Marcus Morris was traded.

That’s just to name a few.

Still, Morris has been professional since being dealt, focusing on his new team and their attempt to make the playoffs and limiting comments about the Suns.

The Wizards beat the Suns 106-99 Friday night and Morris had 21 points and 9 rebounds. So far Morris hasn’t reacted publicly to the prank.
