COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Sports fans might call it a slam dunk, but University of Maryland player Ivan Bender may see it as true love.
UMD Basketball celebrated their senior night on Friday evening in front of their many fans. As Bender stepped out to receive his recognition, he had other plans to make the night a bit more memorable.
He waives at the crowd with his girlfriend Andrea right by his side and smoothly gets down on one knee. To Andrea's surprise and the excitement of his fellow teammates Bender pops the big question.
And she says yes!
