Loyola answered before the end of the first half and continued to put points on the board in the second half, but it wasn't enough to surpass the Cardinals.
It's the third year in a row that the Cardinals have won the Turkey Bowl.
The game was particularly emotional for Dons head coach Brant Hall who coached in his last Turkey Bowl.
"Still hasn't hit me. It'll sink in at some point," Hall said. "I'm disappointed. I would have liked to go out with a win. I really would've liked to get this for our seniors."
