Terrapins guard Kaila Charles drafted by Connecticut Sun in second round of WNBA Draft

Maryland Guard Kaila Charles has been drafted by the Connecticut Sun with the 23rd overall pick in the WNBA Draft.

Charles joins former Terrapins Alyssa Thomas and Brionna Jones on Connecticut's roster.

The Sun went to last year's WNBA Finals.

This year, Charles earned WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America Honorable Mention honors and All-America honors from the Associated Press and the USBWA. She also received unanimous All-Big Ten First Team honors for the second straight year as well.
