Maryland vs. James Madison University's game canceled due to a positive COVID-19 test

The University of Maryland men’s basketball team’s game at James Madison University scheduled for Dec. 5, at 3 p.m. has been canceled due to a positive COVID-19 test within James Madison’s program.

JMU discovered the positive test on Friday during regular surveillance testing. When informed, a second test was conducted and also indicated a positive.

The Terrapins, which are off to a 4-0 start and receiving votes in this week’s AP Top-25, are next scheduled to play at Clemson in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Dec. 9 at 5 p.m., on ESPN2.

Maryland returns home for its Big Ten Conference opener on Dec. 14 against Rutgers.
