A former Terp in the NFL will honor Jordan McNair on his cleats.
Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Quiton Jefferson is participating in the league's "My Cause, My Cleats" initiative.
McNair's initials and the coat of arms from the Maryland state flag are on there.
The other initials are for people from Jefferson's hometown who are victims of gun violence.
Jefferson told the Seahawks that while he never met McNair, since he's a Terp, he's family.
McNair collapsed at a team practice in May. He died a few weeks later in June.
