Former Baltimore Raven Torrey Smith is set to host the 5th Annual Charitable Basketball game at Royal Farms Arena benefiting the Torrey Smith Foundation.

On Saturday, April 2 at 2 p.m., Smith will trade in the field for the court, alongside his teammates and a few local celebrities, to shoot hoops for charity.

Smith, a wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers, is still a Baltimore resident.

The event will also feature live entertainment and giveaways. All proceeds will go to the Torrey Smith Foundation, which the Smith family created to support underprivileged youth.

"I mean it's fun. You get to see some of the pro guys living out their hoop dreams. But it' s bigger than that, obviously, it's a fundraiser but it's a FUNdraiser. Torrey Smith said.

"Everyone has a great time. A lot of different things going on for families, giveaways, halftime show. You have fun but you're also helping the community together. That's the best thing to me."

"We're all in it. You buy a ticket you're helping give back and that's part of our commitment together, to help the community."

Smith, along with his wife, Chanel, says he’s working in partnership with area non-profits to launch new programs in Baltimore this summer. The projects will be announced at the basketball game.
