The Baltimore Ravens have agreed in principle with nose tackle Brandon Williams to a five-year contract.
Williams, has spent his entire career in Baltimore after being drafted in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He's played in 55 games, 46 starts, and has recorded 158 tackles (97 solo), 4.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Last season, Williams was named a second alternate to the Pro Bowl after recording third-most tackles (51) and second-most solo stops (34) among all NFL nose tackles.
In 2015, he recorded a career-high in tackles (53, 35 solo), sacks (2), and passes defended (2). He was one of four defensive tackles (Jurrell Casey, Kawann Short and Ndamukong Suh) to record at least 30 solo tackles, two sacks and two passes defended.
Off the field, Williams has made an impact in the Baltimore community. He's served as a spokesperson for the Maryland Food Bank, where he's supported the team's annual collection, donating over 15,000 meals to the food bank. He also worked with the Boys and Girls Club of Metropolitan Baltimore.
The Ravens are expected to hold a press conference with Williams at the Under Armour Performance Center Monday, March 13.
