BTN planned to be in Maryland as the Terrapins host the Michigan Wolverines Saturday.

The network was expected to broadcast from outside Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium in College Park for the 10:30 a.m. and evening editions of the BTN Football Pregame.

But as the forecast changed, so did BTN's big plans for Saturday.

Joaquin strengthened to a hurricane Wednesday morning, with some forecast models showing thestorm making landfall as a hurricane somewhere between North Carolina and New Jersey.

BTN announced Wednesday it would reschedule the Maryland show.

"Given the threat of a hurricane hitting a large part of the Eastern Seaboard this weekend, BTN has decided to postpone the planned broadcast Saturday of its football studio shows from outside Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium," BTN said in a statement. "Safety concerns for crew and fans and the uncertainty surrounding the storm’s path led to the network’s decision. BTN will reschedule the visit for a later date."

As of Wednesday afternoon, the game was still scheduled to take place at 8 p.m. Saturday.
