Calvert Hall and Loyola take the field at Towson’s Johnny Unitas Stadium on Thanksgiving for the 99th Annual Turkey Bowl. The game will be aired live on WMAR 2 News and online at WMAR2News.com/Live and the WMAR Facebook page.
Prior to the game, WMAR 2 News Sports Reporter Shawn Stepner spoke with members of both teams to hear their thoughts on this holiday tradition and what it means to take part in this long-standing rivalry.
Frank Curreri's goes back a long way with the Calvert Hall football program. He attended the school from 1999 to 2003. From there he attended La Salle University, where he earned a degree in business management while playing Division I football. He rejoined the Cardinals in 2008, coaching the defensive line. He was promoted to defensive coordinator in January 2018, a position he still holds today.
