After dropping their first two games in February, the No. 23 Terps are back in the winning circle with two big conference wins.

They carried momentum from a home win over Ohio State into a 76-64 road win at Northwestern. Junior guard Melo Trimble continues his stellar season pacing the Terps with a career-high 32 points.

Maryland will need his efforts this Sunday when they face their toughest test remaining on their regular season schedule.

No. 11 Wisconsin hosts the Terps this Sunday afternoon. Although they've played one fewer game than the Terps and have the same amount of losses on the season (4), their conference record of 10-2 is slightly better than Maryland's 10-3 mark.

The Badgers' record could change when they travel to Ann Arbor to take on Michigan Thursday night. They'll need to rebound after falling to Northwestern Sunday.

Sunday's game could help both teams' resumes -- neither has defeated a team currently ranked in the AP Top 25 poll. The latest RPI projections from ESPN show Wisconsin needing this game a little more than the Terps.

But No. 16 Purdue is neck and neck with Maryland -- both are tied for second in the Big Ten just a half game behind Wisconsin.

One way the Terps can take advantage of the Badgers this weekend is to force them into bad shots. In Wisconsin's game against Northwestern, they shot just 38 percent from the field. Wednesday night, the Terps shot 50 percent against the Wildcats, 44 percent from 3-point land.

A marquee win on the road could be the win the Terps need to further plead their case for a higher seed in March.
