The Baltimore Blast is preparing to compete for their eighth championship title.
The Blast became one of Charm City's great sports when the team won back-to-back championships in 2003 and 2004. They continued their dominance with wins in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2012.
The Baltimore Blast finished the regular season with a 15-4 record and earned the top-seed for the eastern division. They defeated the Syracuse Silver Knights in the first round then took on the Missouri Comets in the semi-finals.
After a dramatic come from behind win against the Comets, the Blast host the Soles de Sonora from Mexico Sunday in the first game of the championship series. Game two will be in Sonora, Mexico on Friday April 15. Should a tie-breaker be needed, a mini-game will directly follow Friday's match.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Royal Farms Arena.
