ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Beginning February 16 -- $60 million in federal grants will be made available for licensed child care centers and registered child care providers in Maryland.

The Child Care Pandemic Relief Fund aims to help providers make up for increased operation costs and lost revenue during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Funds are provided through the recently passed Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021.

In order to receive a grant, an online application must be completed by March 3.

To qualify, providers will have to specify how they plan on using the funds, and submit other required information including enrollment numbers and losses incurred.
