BALTIMORE — Residents in Baltimore County will be getting or should have already received their delayed water bill in the mail.

Officials say meter readings for all accounts should be updated and mailed by December 31.

Billing has been paused at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Baltimore City manages both readings and billing. They and the county have since hired outside contractors to help catch up.

The latest bills will cover water consumption from your last statement up until now.

Given the time lapse between billing, most customers should expect to owe more.

No shut-offs, penalties, or late fees will be imposed for failure to pay on-time.

Normal quarterly water billing is expected to resume in 2021.

For those needing help, call the Baltimore City Department of Public Works from Monday through Friday - 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at 410-396-5398.
