TOWSON, Md. — Beginning Saturday, June 13, Baltimore County will block off traffic in Towson to allow more outdoor seating at restaurants.

It's called the Seats on the Streets initiative. At first it will only be on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

To make it happen, Pennsylvania Avenue between York Road and Washington Avenue will be closed for the rest of June.

Charles Village Pub, C&R Pub, Nacho Mama's Towson, The Point Towson, and Slice NY Pizza Pasta & Grill will be among the restaurants offering outdoor seating.

They will be required to follow all local, state and federal safety guidelines.
