A terrifying scene in Kiev, Ukraine when the ground suddenly erupts! A high-pressure water pipe exploded underground, sending rocks, oil and chunks of the road flying. Amazingly no one was hurt.
Witnesses say the burst pipe shot water seven stories into the air. Muddy water flooded the area.
The explosion left a 64-foot crater in the ground. The debris shattered windows and damaged over a dozen nearby cars and buildings.
The pipe normally carries hot water to a nearby housing complex. But crews were testing the lines, so the pipes only contained cold water when it exploded.
No word on how long repairs will take.
