Cheer routine set to sounds of 9/11 reports

Posted

A cheer routine designed to be a themed tribute to those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 has gone viral, but not everyone is a fan of the routine.

The cheer squad from Texas performed the routine on the anniversary of the terrorist attacks. It was set to the sounds of audio reports from the day the towers fell with the song "God Bless the USA" playing in the background.

Some critics have called the routine tasteless.

The coach said the team takes the routine very seriously and it was meant to be a reverent tribute.
