BALTIMORE — Mix 106.5 is holding its 31st Annual Radiothon.

It’s the hospital's largest fundraiser of the year. Proceeds benefit pediatric patient care, programs and research.

The station will broadcast live from the hospital's lobby, where volunteers take calls and accept donations.

Last year, we talked to Emily Williams about her daughter Abby. She was born at the children's center when she was just 26 weeks old.

Abby ended up staying at the children's center for 314 days. Emily and her husband Craig volunteered Thursday, to say thank you to the staff for saving their daughter.

"Without Hopkins we were actually told that our daughter wouldn't survive," said Emily Williams. "They gave us a lot of faith and hope, and we didn't know how long our road would be, but we were definitely assured by the team at Hopkins that they were never going to give up on our daughter."

The radiothon has raised more than $25-million for the children's center.
