BALTIMORE — The wall installed by Green Street Green Walls will help improve the school's air quality.

Here's how it works; a fan takes air and forces it through the green wall. The 120 plants remove the pollutants.

This isn't the only "green" thing the school has done. Students and teachers created garden beds outside the school, an outdoor classroom and a recycling program, all so the school can be named a green school.

"I can't believe it's happening because we have been wanting to be a green school for such a long time and now, we're one application away from having the name," said Ion Parran a 5th grader, Green team member

Teachers say that application will be submitted in little over a month.
